Specialized Finance

HORIZON arranges and executes a wide variety of structured transactions, which are basically “Big Ticket” asset financing and/or efficient and innovative solutions for Client’s funding requirements. Counterparties to our Specialised Finance transactions include multinationals and Large Corporates.

Our multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in leasing, asset finance and structured products enable HORIZON to develop specific financial product to meet individual Client’s needs.

Commercial Property Rental
Commercial Property Rental is one of the new products that HORIZON has developed to meet the cashflow needs of our Clients. This is basically a sale-leaseback transaction with Corporate Buildings as the underlying asset. The primary objective of such a transaction is to restructure the balance sheet of the Client by reducing the value of Non-income Earning Assets (Corporate Buildings) and release capital for investment into core and profitable activities within the Client’s Company.
The tenure on our Commercial Property Rental transaction is negotiable between 4 and 10 years.

Project Finance
HORIZON finances projects of varying sizes and at different stages of completion.  At present, we do not finance Start-ups (venture capital financing) but only projects that have taken off and/or are nearing completion.  We have a particular emphasis on Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) and Public Private Partnerships (PPP) where we syndicate (particularly for large transactions) with our funding partners and structure leases to suit project objectives.

 Funds Management Services
Currently, HORIZON undertakes fund management services on behalf of various clients including the Government of Ghana and other Institutional Investors, aimed primarily at promoting the development of the private sector in Ghana.
